Vaiusu means morning waters, it is also the name of a village in Samoa.
As Si'utaulalovasa travelled through Faleata in Samoa he had with him a basket of spirits. He would visit many villages on his journey and at each kava ceremony he would tip a small amount of kava onto the basket, this was for the spirits, for the ancestors.
He named the area of Vaiusu as it was the first pool of water he would visit every morning.
A space of refleshing reflection.
